Our family homeschool is based in Valrico, Florida and faciliated by a household of two educator parents with Florida teaching certificates who have collectively taught 3 AP courses and are certified in 16 unique certification areas. One is a former elementary, middle, and high school administrator with an active school principal certification.
Most courses our children take are through Florida Virtual School, so they are fully accredited courses. Where an Advanced Placement course is not available, a syllabus has been submitted and approved through the Course Audit process of College Board. This ensures that all courses our children take are rigorous and held to the highest standard.
Most core non-AP courses are completed during the middle school years so that they can maximize their opportunities during 9th-12th grade years taking AP courses. The children have intentionally chosen AP courses over a dual enrollment/AA pathway as they have set goals for out of state universities upon graduation.
